Wow... what a relaxing night. after 12 hours of sleep i finally woke up... Jumped in the shower...got myself ready, walked out the door and then...there's a computer lab right across the floor. D'OH. why didn't i realized that... But, this lab was just open for being cleaned. It won't be open till Monday... we'll at least i was quick enough to order my macbook... I went to see Susie, we set up a schedule for me that sounds quite fair to me. An english class, 2 marketing classes and one psychology class. Susie told us to get used books from the book store real quick, otherwies we'd have to pay much more...geeez... books are expensive here! More than like $ 350 for 4 books. I just hope i can return them by the end of the semester.
But Wolfgang and I will save big on another thing. The exchange program also covers housing which means we won't have to pay about 2000$ per semester!
Wolfgang and I once again took his car to drive around town a little bit. nothing that much exciting around. the "belt - highwy" offers all kinds of shops, groceries restaurants and stuff. but it's quite far away from campus. no walking distance... no bike trails and stuff... hmmm... at least it's there's a light breeze today. We had over 100 F (um die 38 Grad C!) yesterday! got my 24 mountain for $10 at target and a a headset from bestbuy.
After dinner, Wolfgang and I wanted to take the car for the last time and drive to the "more downtown" area of st. joseph. when i walked back into my suite, yuichi was already there... he just came right from tokyo. poor guy he looked quite sleepy.
Wolfgang and I went all the way down to the missouri river... it's difficult to say what st. jo looks like i just feel that's not the most superior town in the states.
When we got back on campus, yuichi was one the phone so wolfgang and i chatted in 'my' living room. After like an hour i wanted to get my cell phone out of my room and it was already dark - yuichi was already sleeping.
I think it kinda sucks if your roommate wants to sleep and you're still awake, either for studying or some other reason. So i just turned on my desk light and read a little bit into my new english and psycholgy book. I went to bed at like 10pm again... Yuichi woke up at like 3:40 and obviously couldn't get back to sleeping so eventually i woke up as well... I guess that's what i have to adjust to.... sleeping while someone else in the room isn't sleeping. it'll work out, however, i'm sure. He's a nice kid!
