Like 5 years ago my "diary" will be in English from the first morning on.... "toby, it"s 7:15 now, good morning!" I didn't have an alarm with me, so Susie woke me up. After a refreshing shower, a cup of cereals and coffee we headed north to St. Joseph. I checked in my dorm - the Vaselakos Hall, Room 1104B. I'll be adding pictures soon... it's just not that easy when you don't have a laptop in your room... I asked the two nice students on the hall desk if a bigger package had arrived for me. "Check your mailbox, there might be a package slip in it - with that slip you can go to the commons and they'll hand it out for you." So far, so good. Mailbox is locked by a number lock. Oh cool. I've got printed instructions this time. Oh F***. Wrong movie. It won't open. This guy from the desk tries to open it for me. Hehe. He can't open it as well. The girl from the desk tries to open it. Hehe. Not smarter than me :) Another resident assistant tries to open it and... it's open / the last number is supposed to be smaller by 3, she says and disappears. I try - I fail. Another girl walks by, opens it, gives me another trick. She leaves - I try - guess what... I fail. Oh well... still a long day to go :)
Then I checked in at Susie's office for enrolling in some classes in order to get my sutdent id. Everything works just fine. She calls the mail office and they tell us that they received my package (my sheets, pillows, etc.) Then I went to Steven Potter's office. He needed to see my visa. Like Susie - a super nice guy. We're just 3 exchange students this semester, maybe 10 other international students. After getting my picture taken for the student id i met wolfgang at Susie's office. Since it's about lunch time we try to figure out how to purchase a meal plan. So i went to the business office where they tell me that my meal plan's already purchased and I can use my card in the food court. When Wolfgang and I went to the food court, we both weren't sure about how much food we were allowed to put on our plates. A freindly woman working in the court then assured us that it's basically all-u-can drink&eat. Wonderful. Pizza, Hamburgers and.... MOUNTAIN DEW!!! I'm on the 12 meals a week + 200 flex-$s. it's such a long story to tell on how i finally got my package with all that sheets, towels and stuff... When I went to the commons for the second time I also got my new cell phone... text or call me (816-244-9293)! Since Wolfgang still had a car rent, we went to Bestbuy... No apples in store :(. The one laptop (sony vaio) that i might have bought instead wasn't in stock as well. So i'll wait for my internet access in order to order my MacBook online... I NEED INTERNET SOON! I NEED A COMPUTER EVEN SOONER! ARRRGH!
D'OH! I somehow logged on that one computer. Forgot my complete address though. When i went back to my room to get my complete address, I couldn't log on again.
the floor meeting at 8:30pm was allright. The resident assistants are really nice... some girls look nice as well ;)
I'm getting really tired right now. It's 9pm so about 4am in Germany. Didn't have much sleep during the last couple of nights...
